For the treatment of cervical incompetence
Cervix-Set is a special suture set for the treatment of cervical incompetence during pregnancy.
Cervix-Set for the ligature of the cervix according to the Shirodkar technique consists of a polyester tape or thread equipped at each end with blunt roundbodied needles.
Cervix-Set for the ligature of the cervix according to McDonald or Wurm-Hefner techniques consists of a polyester thread equipped at each end with sharp round-bodied needles.
Fordele
Cervix Set prevents an incompetent neck of the uterus from opening. This reduces the danger of premature labour and the occurance of a late abortion or a premature birth.

Indikation
For the treatment of cervical incompetence by the following techniques:
- Ligature of the cervix according to the Shirodkar technique
- Ligature of the cervix according to the McDonald technique (purse string ligature)
- Ligature of the cervix according to the Wurm-Hefner technique (mattress or U ligature)
